Welsh beer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welsh beer is beer brewed in Wales. Welsh beer has a similar history and tradition as beer brewed in the rest of the British Isles. Wales, along with the rest of the British Isles, came under the influence of the temperance movement, and there has historically been a lot of heavy industry such as coal mining. This has given some people the impression that all Welsh beers have been very weak. However, as with beers all over Britain, alcohol percentages vary. S A Brain is a regional brewery in Cardiff.
The Welsh (Cymraeg) word for beer is cwrw (pronounced "Kooroo").
