Welsh Varsity

Every year, the Welsh varsity match happens, between Cardiff University and Swansea University, the two biggest universities in Wales. The centrepice of the day event is the rugby union match between the two sides, held in Bridgend at the Brewery Field, home of Bridgend RFC, roughly half-way between the two towns. The match has previsouly been played in Cardiff Arms Park and St Helens. The sports represented at this event are women's and men's rugby union, hockey, squash, badminton, lacrosse, golf, basketball and fencing. Profits go towards charity.
