Welsh Assembly election, 2007

The Welsh Assembly Election 2007 will be a general election to the National Assembly for Wales, to take place on Thursday 3 May, 2007.
It will be the third election for seats in the National Assembly for Wales, (previous elections in 1999 and 2003).
As of 2005, the National Assembly is the only gender-balanced parliament in the world with 30 female Assembly members and 30 male Assembly members.

[edit] Notional Election 2003
Due to boundary changes the composition of the outgoing Assembly will not reflect the Assembly that was elected in May 2003. The main changes are in Gwynedd where the constituencies of Conwy, Carnarfon, and Meirionydd nant Conwy are replaced by Arfon, Dwyfor Meirionnydd, and Aberconwy
