The Welch Wrestling Family started in wrestling in the 1940's. It is made up of the following brothers, Roy, Jack, Herb and Lester Welch. Roy was also a promoter.

Roy Welch's son was Edward Welch who wrestled as Buddy Fuller. Buddy had two sons who wrestled, Ron and Robert Fuller. Robert married Sylvia Fuller. Roy's daughter Ruby married Billy Golden. They had a son who wrestles, Jimmy Golden. Jimmy has son Bobby Golden and a nephew Eddie Golden who both wrestle.

Lester's son, Roy Lee Welch, wrestled.

Bonnie Welch, the sister of Roy, Jack, Herb and Lester, had 3 sons with referee Virgil Hatfield that wrestled, Lee Fields, Bobby Fields and Don Fields. Bobby's sons, Shane & Randy, were both referees.

The Welch wrestling family has produced some of the best and most well known wretlers of their time. Just between Jimmy Golden and Robert Fuller there has been 92 Championship belts earned.
