Wekiwa Springs is a census-designated place and an unincorporated area in Seminole County, Florida, United States. The population was 23,169 at the 2000 census.

Wekiwa Springs is located at 28°41′49″N, 81°25′33″W (28.697074, -81.425706)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 23.7 km² (9.2 mi²). 22.4 km² (8.6 mi²) of it is land and 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²) of it (5.68%) is water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 23,169 people, 8,825 households, and 6,751 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,035.4/km² (2,681.2/mi²). There were 9,123 housing units at an average density of 407.7/km² (1,055.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 94.43% White, 1.48% African American, 0.17% Native American, 2.26% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.65% from other races, and 0.99% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.92% of the population.

There were 8,825 households out of which 36.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.8% were married couples living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.5% were non-families. 19.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.62 and the average family size was 3.02.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 25.4% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 31.6% from 45 to 64, and 11.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 94.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.1 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $71,839, and the median income for a family was $78,495. Males had a median income of $61,713 versus $37,285 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $36,196. About 1.6% of families and 2.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 2.6% of those under age 18 and 1.0% of those age 65 or over.
