Weirdwolf
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Weirdwolf is a character from the Transformers toy line, and is a member of the Decepticon Headmasters faction. The character is partnered with the character Monzo, who in the U.S. continuity was an ex-hyperwrestler turned night club owner by trade. Weirdwolf converts from robot to wolf and back, while Monzo converts from human-like figure into the robot's head (hence the term Headmaster). The toy was released in 1987.
According to Weirdwolf's Tech spec, he is a Tracker and has a few screws loose in his head. He speaks to himself in a "singsong backward way" and can leap .8 miles. Weirdwolf is armed with a photon pistol and thermal sword.
Weirdwolf only appeared in The Transformers TV series in the 3-part episode The Rebirth, never spoke, however his partner Monzo did have a couple lines. Weirdwolf also appeared in the U.S. Marvel Comics's "Headmasters", a sub-series of the main Transformers comic also from Marvel.
In Japan, Weirdwolf was a central character in the 35-episode series "Transformers: Headmasters".
Weirdwolf is joined in the Decepticon Headmasters by fellow comrades Mindwipe, Skullcruncher, Scorponok (Decepticon Headmaster leader), Apeface, Snapdragon, Fangry, Horri-Bull, and Squeezeplay.
