Talk:Wedge-type character

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I removed R2D2 and C3P0 because they do not fit the criteria listed in the first paragraph. It states, "However, they tend to suffer notoriously from little to no character development." When looking at Star Wars as a whole, Episodes I-VI, they certainly have character development.

I'd like to protest the rejection of Mr. Satan from Dragon Ball Z from the list on the grounds that he didn't fill the criteria of "they usually carry the reputation of being reliable, dependable, and competent." I assumed the usually in the sentence meant that it wasn't always necessary. (C3P0 from Star Wars back up this assumption, since he rarely achieves anything aside from saying "Oh dear," but is listed along with his more productive partner R2-D2.) With the high mortality rate among the characters of Dragon Ball Z contrasted with Mr. Satan's tendency to seemingly never die, along with his minor character status, I thought he was a shoe-in for this category.
