[edit] What does "web" mean???

The whole article repeatedly mentions the word "web". Would someone mind explaining (in the article) what "web" means in this context? Stevage 21:36, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

It was explained in the "differences" bullet points, but obviously that's not clear to the layman. Now that key point is in the intro. --Dhartung | Talk 09:03, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Key Issues

This article doesn't really explain why the BEP stopped producing web notes. This should be explained (I'd guess) under key issues. Can somebody add this info? The numismatic info is very interesting and useful, but we need to add to it, and this is far beyond my area of expertise.
