Anrie, I agree 100% that this article needs improvement. I have just updated the DMTF and CIM articles and would like to update this one as well. Any objections ? You can also email me privately (in fact, I'd like to get in contact with you as I'm a CIM/WBEM developer too). — Gandalf44

====CIMOM .v. WBEM Server

In the draft which is proposed to replace this article there is significant confusion between the CIMOM and the WBEM Server. The CIMOM is only a part of the WBEM server and many of the functions credited to it in the draft actually belong to the WBEM Server.
