- 2005 on August 31, 2005, Weatherford acquires Precision Energy Services and Precision International Drilling from Precision Drilling Corporation for 1 billion USD. The acquisition of Precision Energy Services strenghthens Weatherford's directional drilling and openhole and cased-hole wireline services, while integration of Precision International Drilling broadens the service area in Middle East and North Africa.
- Weatherford bought out A&M Composites on September 1st of 2005. A&M Composites is now known as Weatherford-A&M Composites. They make fiberglass wound composites that are used in the oil field, electrical units, RO systems, and antennas, along with many other things.
