In The Halo (video game series) there is a large list of weapons and vehicles that are used in the games.

[edit] Human Weapons

Human Weapons generally focus on kinetic energy or concussion for damage (i.e. bullets, shells, shrapnel etc.) Most human weapons use ammunition and do not overheat, but must be reloaded when they run out of ammo.

[edit] SPNKR M19 SSM Rocket Launcher

This is one of the strongest and most difficult to use human weapons. The M19 SSM is a man-portable and shoulder-fired rocket launcher. It has two major components: the launcher and the magazine. The magazine (the expendable part of the system) contains two 102mm shaped-charge, high-explosive rockets. It is designed for fast, easy detachment from the launcher. The launcher contains the sighting and fire control systems.

This weapon is primarily used for vehicular combat.

[edit] Assault Rifle

[edit] Sniper Rifle

This weapon has the best accuracy for long range attacks. It holds magazines constisting of four 26-caliber bullets. It has very good accuracy at long distance, but is not very practical in close combat. It has almost no effect on vehicles, unless you hit the driver and "snipe" them.

[edit] Pistol

This is a good short range weapon with a decent firing rate. It can be used in drive by shootings if you're in the passenger seat of a warthog, or a spectre. It holds magazines of nine 32-calibre bullets, a bit more powerful than the sniper rifle, and also more accurate at close range. The pistol becomes less accurate if your range increases. After about 30 meters, the sniper rifle is much more accurate and easier to use than the pistol.

[edit] Shotgun

The shotgun has a lot of power in close range. It uses buckshot, which means the bullets spread apart the farther they go. At close range, it is extremely effective. The shotgun is 8 gauge, so it shoots eight 9 calibre bullets per shell. That means it has the power of a 72 calibre bullet at close range. The shotgun is usually used against groups of people at medium range or against one person at close range.

[edit] Battle Rifle (Halo 2 only)

The Battle Rifle has a x2 scope and fires semi-automatic bursts. (3 bullets per burst). It is stronger than the assalt rifle and more accurate.

[edit] Fragmentation Grenade

[edit] Covenant Weapons

Covenant weapons usually use plasma energy to damage enemies. Most of their weapons do not use ammunition, but instead they have batteries and over heat if fired rapidly for short periods of time.

[edit] Plasma Rifle

Plasma Rifles are the weapon of choice amongst most Covenant Elites, notable for its rapid fire and slightly higher damage against shields. It may be fired in a fashion similar to full automatic by holding down the fire button, though given time it will overheat, rendering it unusable for a brief period of time, and possibly long enough for an enemy to counterattack.

[edit] Needler

The needler ia a weapon which fires what appear to be "glass needles" which track enemies. Rather than doing damage on impact, they lodge themselves into the target and then after a brief period will explode, causing damage. If the entire "clip" of the needler is shot into an enemy, it causes a grenade-like level of damage and explosion (it will trigger any grenades lying on the ground or nearby). This is the only Covenant weapon which has replaceable ammunition and not batteries.

[edit] Plasma Pistol

A small and common weapon amongst Grunts and Jackals, it is generally considered weak but effective when used properly. Rather than firing rapidly (as the Plasma Rifle does), it instead will charge the shot until the fire button is released, causing far more damage. In Normal difficulty and Multiplayer, this is compounded into the complete depletion of a shield, rendering Elites and other players vunlerable. It is notable that in game, the Jackals use this in conjunction with ambushes to overwhelm the player if he is not careful. However, the charged shot tends to move slowly and is easily spotted, and once released the Plasma Pistol will be unusable for a short period of time, leaving the user open to counterattack if he does not take cover.

[edit] Plasma Sword (Halo 2 Only)

the sword is a very powerful weapon for defeating enemys e.g the flood or the covanent

[edit] Plasma Grenade

Essentially referred to as the Covenant analogue to the human frag grenade. However, this grenade does not bounce, but will stick to enemies or vehicles given the proper aim, and as such can be strategically more potent when used in crowds of enemies. In most situations, it is a guaranteed kill if stuck to an enemy, especially in multiplayer. Its only major weakness is that it does not bounce off walls, instead merely dropping to the ground. Also, once active it releases a large amount of light, which experienced players and some enemies can easily identify and move away from before detonation.
