This article comprises of famous extra topical cyclones that occurred as of September 2006 in the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. When the remnants of Hurricane Ioke merged with a polar front over the North Pacific Ocean, an extra topical gale was born (01A) and continue to race toward the Alaskan Peninsula. On the 8th, the gale impacted the Aleutian Islands, and on the 9th, continued into the Gulf of Alaska, impacted the mainland of Alaska and Canada.

As of 1200UTC, on Sunday, 10th September 2006, gale 01A, was located 53N, 152W, moving across the Gulf of Alaska. Maximum sustain winds are 30knots with higher gust of 35knots. The minimum Central Pressure with 01A, is 988mbars. 01A is moving to the E at about 10mph.

Breezy whitecaping conditions with moderate choppy seas. Moderate short period wind waves. Winds: SE 14 to 19 knots. Seas: WSW 9 feet at 9 sec.

Light winds with a slight chop. Large short period wind waves. Winds: SSE 7 to 10 knots. Seas: WSW 10 feet at 9 sec.
