Talk:We Can Remember It for You Wholesale

Tribute to the film: http://www.geocities.com/phillipkcarpenter/willrem.html

A previous article entry suggests the movie is real, because Quaid shoots his wife, and Rekall would never implant such a traumatic event. This argument misses the point. If Quaid is dreaming, his experiences are not just a Rekall holiday, but are "..a free form delusion based on our [Rekall's] memory tapes...". Quaid has suffered a schizoid embolism and has descended into a paranoid fantasy. He is largely creating the dream as he goes along. Rekall never implanted Lori's death, Quaid invented it.

[edit] Eternal Sunshine reference

This comment about Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind being inspired by this story needs to be referenced. Bihal 03:06, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

I think it's false personally, as my understanding is that the idea was thought up by one or two of the people involved in the movie's creation. (The Eternal Sunshine... article seems to match my thoughts.) Satan's Rubber Duck 20:26, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Not to mention a needed spoiler warning there, as well as a general cleanup to make it more objective. I say it either needs to be completely re-worked or removed. Thoughts? --Identityshift 03:01, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
