I like the altered version of the CIA West Bank image since it uses more colors to more clearly separate the areas:

But it is 63 kilobytes. A problem for dialup users of the internet.

It is possible to create 20 kilobyte png versions of the map that are equally detailed and readable.

The original unaltered CIA image was a 20 kilobyte gif image:

I know that a 20 kilobyte png version of the altered image can be created.

If someone does this, please use the modern spelling of Judea, not the historical spelling (Judaea).

It is a modern map, and Judea is the modern spelling.

And please do not edit out the CIA text about it being Israeli occupied. See discussion here:

The current altered image does not edit out that CIA text. So the addition of the names of Judea and Samaria adds useful info without being a political WP:NPOV breach. --Timeshifter 00:41, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
