From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WCHY-FM (known on air as "Charlie FM") is a radio station located in Madison, WI and broadcasting on 105.1 MHZ.

WCHY started as WBZU "The Buzz" in 2000 with a marathon of 5,000 songs in a row with no interruptions. At the time, its format was 1980s music. Over time, the station started to sprinkle hits from the 70s and 90s into its format. In 2005, the station became WCHY, Charlie FM. The station's format is very similar to Jack FM and Bob FM. This means that the station has no on-air DJs and has a motto of "We Play Everything". The station generally plays 70s and 80s pop music with current and 60s music occasionally played. The only continuity element is a pre-recorded announcer.
