WBXH, identified on-air as My BR TV, is the MyNetworkTV affiliate for Baton Rouge, Louisiana former affiliate UPN. It broadcasts on UHF channel 39. Since 2003, it has been owned and operated by Raycom Media and sister station to CBS affiliate WAFB. Its previous nickname was "The Block".
Before being purchased by Raycom, WBXH was owned by the Box LP Group, who owned low-power affiliates of the Box music channel across the US. WBXH operated on channel 46 until WAFB signed their digital station on the same channel in 2002, which led to the purchase of the station in the first place.

[edit] MyNetworkTV
CBS Corporation and Time Warner announced on January 24, 2006 that they will close their respective UPN and WB networks and jointly launch the CW Network in September 2006. Shortly after the announcement of the The CW, News Corporation announced that it would launch MyNetworkTV for stations left out of the merger.
On March 7, 2006, WBXH was announced as an affiliate of MyNetworkTV, along with two other Raycom Media-owned stations. UPN and The WB ceased independent operations in September, at the same time WBXH join the new MyNetworkTV, owned by News Corporation, parent company of Fox. Until the sign-on the UPN branding was removed becoming one of a few non-Fox O&O UPN stations to do so.
