WBCB is CW Network affiliate for Youngstown, Ohio. Launched in November 2004 as a WB affiliate, WBCB is the sister station of Youngstown's NBC affiliate, WFMJ. The station operates as one of WFMJ's digital sub-channels on UHF channel 20.
WBCB is carried on all major cable systems in the Youngstown/Warren area, including the two largest - Time Warner and Armstrong. The station is not available in the Youngstown local channel packages of either DirecTV or Dish Network, and is not seen by viewers who do not have cable or digital receivers.
WBCB does not produce its own local broadcasts but is planning at some point in the future in produce a 10 o'clock news.
Since the station is one of WFMJ's digital sub-channels, its official callsign is also WFMJ-DT. The unofficial WBCB callsign is only used for marketing purposes. Despite its switch to the CW as a result of the merger between the WB and UPN, the "WBCB" calls currently remain, likely until WFMJ finds a suitable replacement or just simply uses "WFMJ-DT2" as the callsigns.
