WBB is The CW television affiliate for the Bluefield / Beckley, WV market. It is was originally a cable-only station for The WB network since the market did not have an extra over-the-air station. It is mainly carried on channel 18 on area cable systems. Its self-devised callsign, WBB, is not assigned by the Federal Communications Commission. It was part of The WB 100+ Station Group, a group of non-broadcast local cable television outlets for markets below the top 100 media markets.
WBB is operated by Bluefield's WVVA, the local NBC affiliate.
WVVA-DT 46.2 and "WBB" became the local affiliate of The CW and on cable systems in the market as of September 18, 2006.
