[edit] LDS Welcome Template
In Wikipedia any page can be inserted into another page by using {{pagename}} where pagename is the page name for the page you want to insert. Primarily inserting a page into another page is done through using pages from the Template area.
To make things easier to handle changing information you can pass information to the template that can be used, like the page you reverted an anon on or even a new user, plus your username (for the LDSWelcome template. You pass this information by using the seperator "|" between each piece of info). So if I reverted someone on Bishop (Mormonism) I would type in the following text when editing their page: {{LDSWelcome|Bishop (Mormonism)|Trödel}}. The wiki magically makes this turn into a bunch of text with the name of the revert, links to my talk page, etc. (See below for an example - note that it doesn't work as well here because the template is designed to only work on User talk pages.)
Let me know if this is too much or too little instruction. I am happy to help out.

- FYI, I am also learning about and designing some Infobox templates - see Wikipedia:Infobox which will allow us to have some consistent formatting on the Religious Leaders - I have borrowed heavily from Template:Infobox pope in putting forth the Religious leaders proposal.
-
- You can also edit the text of the LDSWelcome template by going to the page Template:LDSWelcome

- Hi, and welcome to the LDS effort here at Wikipedia:WikiProject Latter Day Saint movement. Your point is well taken. ........................ Take a look at the .............article, and tell us what you think on that article's talk page. Consider signing in and getting a formal user site of your own. It would be good to work with you.
Hi -- in reference to your edits on William Smith (Mormonism) and Willard Richards. The "boxes" at the base of the article are intended to show seniority in the Quorum, not who died/left the church and so was replaced by a new person. For example, in the case of Orson Hyde, he was called twice in 1835 and 1839, and so would directly precede Willard Richards who was called in 1840. Look over these pages, and those of other apostles they link to. That should make the system clear. I'll check on the pages' accuracy on my next "watch." Thanks for your interest in our LDS Movement group on the Wikipedia. We welcome all responsible editors, and I hope we see you again soon.
Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your recent edit to the article on Joseph Smith, Jr. We appreciate new people looking at our sites and adding information. However, your edit was removed, not because it was inaccurate, but because the phrase Latter Day Saint movement reflects the many religious groups which emerged from Joseph's initial organization. The LDS Users group here votes on such titles and conventions so that all LDS related articles are consistent in their usage and approach and so that all LDS subgroups can be represented under the same umbrella. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Latter Day Saint movement. Please look around at the LDS articles -- and their talk pages -- and feel free to jump in. Contact me on my talk page if I can provide any clarification. Look forward to working with you.
