Wayne Scot Lukas

Wayne Scot Lukas is an American fashion consultant, known best as a co-host on the makeover reality program What Not to Wear which broadcasts on TLC in the United States and Canada.
Lukas participated on the program for only the premiere season. He is also widely believed to be the architect of Janet Jackson's Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction.

Wayne has an unparalleled reputation for fashion styling, and has worked with some of the world's biggest celebrities and most glamorous women. His client list reads like an entertainment and music industries' Who's Who: Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, Cindy Crawford, Christie Brinkley, Lauren Hutton, Halle Berry and Glenn Close and Meryl Streep, to name a few. Born in Bergenfield, NJ, Wayne starred in TV commercials as a child model. Later he trained at the Pratt Institute, studying graphic design, before becoming a celebrity fashion stylist.
Wayne has been a top fashion stylist for 17 years. He was the first in the industry to be named "Celebrity Fashion Stylist" or as some have put it, "Stylist to the Stars." He's learned that he can dress anyone, whatever their size, shape or budget. His expertise in spotting a trend, fit, color, balance, design and body shape issues have put him in great demand. He has been quoted as saying, "I have dressed every body type from Roseanne Barr to Janet Jackson." He was honored to be asked to feature his costume designs in The Metropolitan Museum of Art's "Rock Style"exhibit. The exhibit has traveled around the globe. The costumes in the exhibit are considered the best in music history. The outfits chosen were Janet Jackson's couture dominatrix outfit from the Busta Rhymes "What's It Gonna Be" video. The video won numerous awards for style and music. The exhibit also featured two of Tina Turner's tour costumes for the 1995-1996 Wildest Dreams tour the premiere outfit was designed by Wayne Scot Lukas and executed by Gianni Versace. Wayne has been nominated for the coveted VH-1 Vogue Fashion Award for "Most Stylish Video." Other videos that he has styled and designed for have won awards on MTV, BET and VH-1. He costume designed and was visual consultant on Tina Turners "Wildest Dreams" World Tour, and her "24/7" World Tour. Wayne also worked on special opening costumes for Janet Jackson's "All For You" World Tour. Wayne has just completed Justin Timberlake's wardrobe and style for Justin and his dancers on Mr. Timberlake's current Justified World Tour. The wardrobe has gotten amazing press all over Europe. Wayne has collaborated with the world's leading directors and photographers. His video and film work can be seen on VH-1, HBO, MTV, and BET.
Wayne's work as a fashion stylist can be seen on the editorial pages of many magazines including: Elle, Arena, Marie Claire, Us, People, W, Vibe, Premiere, Entertainment Weekly, Italian and British Vogue, and Harper's Bazaar, among others.
Wayne Scot Lukas is now widely recognizable to the general public for having been the co-host/stylist of the new hit TLC fashion intervention show "What Not To Wear." Wayne is involved in creating a line of lingerie and body shapers that really work. He is also in the process of releasing his first book on style tips. Wayne has partnered with a celebrity client and a film and television production company is in the works. Wayne was also asked to be the spokesperson to promote "What To Wear" in photographs with Kodak Perfect Touch. Wayne currently has 18 pages dedicated to him and his style tips in the Spiegel catalog. He shows women how to fit their body types and create their perfect "uniform."Wayne has recently been named the new spokesperson for msnshopping.com Microsoft. He will share his fashion tips for real people and will show the public how to shop and create their own personal clothing and home style online.Wayne was just asked to become the first "Style Guru" for Home Shopping Network.Watch for Wayne's Lukastyle system of dressing. He will share his clothing line with the public on air in fall 2007.
