WaveRunner is a brand name for Yamaha Motor Corporation's popular line of personal water craft (PWC).

Wave runner is also sometimes used as a genericized trademark for any type of sit-down PWC. This was very common when Yamaha's most popular model was its original WaveRunner, the WR500, and Kawasaki was still producing mostly stand-up pwc.

Yamaha also produces the Superjet, which is highly regarded among stand-up enthusiasts. Even though the Superjet is a stand-up, it is also still a WaveRunner.
