[edit] design notes for a receiver circuit
Critical values for this circuit are:
- L1,C1 affect the frequency of the first stage; construction hint: for C1, use two capacitors in parallel: a 1.5nF, and a 0 .. 1nF trim cap.
- L2 affects the frequency of the amplifier stage.
Design notes:
- Disclaimer: I designed this with the help of a simulator (P-Spice student) and have not built a real one; consequently the design is incomplete, I welcome adjustments. It may make a nice little project.
- The 33 k ohm resistors affect the Q value of the first stage.
- I added the 50 M ohm resistors to get the simulator to stop complaining about floating leads.
- Q1 is a 2N6059, a darlington power transistor according to the simulator. It has a high input impedance.
