Washington Senators (1891-1899)

Washington Senators' was a 19th century baseball team. The team was also known as the Washington Statesmen and perhaps as the Washington Nationals. The team played at Boundary Field.

The team started out in the American Association as the Washington Statesmen in 1891. The American Association folded after that season and the team continued in the National League as the Washington Senators until the 1899 season. The NL contracted four clubs after 1899 season. This team is not the same club that started out in the American League in 1901 and is today the Minnesota Twins.
