Wash

The term 'wash' can mean several things:
- The act of cleaning,
- a light covering of watercolor on a painting,
- an arroyo,
- the Wash is a large estuary on the east coast of England.
- in brewing, a synonym for mash,
- 'engine wash' or 'propeller wash': a synonym for wake,
- a common American phrase 'it's a wash'. This means the process of coming to be on equal footing with another party.
- Hoban "Wash" Washburne, the pilot of the spaceship Serenity from the television series Firefly and the movie Serenity.
