Warsaw Marathon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Warsaw Marathon is a annual marathon race, which takes place in the heart of Poland's capital, Warsaw. It is held since September 30, 1979. In the first edition the length of the parcours was just 41.6 km, and not the normal, classic distance of 42 km and 195 metres.
Although the main attraction is the marathon; a halfmarathon and rely marathon are also organised annually. The event normally takes place in September and is sponsored by Flora. Entry fee in 2006 was €30 if paid well in advance.
