Wanessa Camargo (born on December 28, 1982 in Goiânia) is a popular Brazilian singer with a style initially similar to Mariah Carey's (nowaday, similar to Madonna's). She is the daughter of Brazilian country singer Zezé di Camargo.

She was also the spokesperson for various different brands, such as Maybelline, and several products based on her image targeting young girls (dolls, shoes, make-up) were released.

Wanessa was the first Brazilian female singer to have her first two singles reach #1 in Brazil. She has also performed a duet on television with Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti during one of his promotional trips to Brazil.

Wanessa's most recent tour, W In Tour - Era Uma Vez..., is going to include cities from the United States, starting at Miami on July (2007) and then proceeding to Orlando, New York, Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco, and some countries from Europe as well. The tour features the songs from her most recent album W and her previous singles, as well as a special rendition of Madonna's Like A Prayer.
