Wan Bao Bao became the first daughter of a top Chinese dignitary to have a "coming out" at the famous 13th Hotel de Crillon Debutantes' Ball, in Paris high society on October 2, 2003. This event illustrates how the People's Republic of China is successfully becoming integrated and accepted with capitalist society while still maintaining many of its founding principles.
