Wamel

Wamel (51°53′N 5°28′E) is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of West Maas en Waal, and lies about 3 km east of Tiel.

In 2001, the town of Wamel had 1825 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.64 km2, and contained 699 residences.[1] The statistical area "Wamel", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 2360.[2]
