Walter P. Kellenberg

Bishop Walter P. Kellenberg (June 3, 1903 - January 11, 1986) was a Roman Catholic bishop.
He was appointed the first Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre on April 16, 1957. Previously, he served as Bishop of Ogdensburg, New York from 1954 to 1957.
Kellenberg had been ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of New York in 1928 and was ordained an auxiliary bishop in 1953.
He was responsible for the creation of St. Pius X Preparatory Seminary in Uniondale, New York.
Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale bears his name.
