Walter Fawkes

Walter Ramsden Hawkesworth Fawkes (1769-1825) was a Yorkshire landowner, writer and MP. He was born in Guiseley as Walter Ramsden Hawkesworth and inherited Farnley Hall in 1792, at which point he assumed the surname Fawkes like his father before him.[1]

He was a close friend of the artist J.M.W. Turner and built a large collection of his works.[1]

He died in London in 1825.[1]
