Walt Sorensen

Walt Sorensen (born 1981) is an American photographer. Walt attended Salt Lake Community College in Salt Lake City, Utah. During this time Walt also Volunteered with The Globe: Weekly News at Salt Lake Community College being the lead photographer, and unofficial photo-editor. Durring his time with the Globe Walt had a Featured photo on the front page of each addition of The Globe: Weekly News. After graduation, Walt Had his First Solo Gallery Showing at the Hunter Public Library "Images Individually" A show dedicated to the Idea that each image has a story to tell. Just like each individual person has their own life story. The following year Walt was an model/assistant/intern/gosling for local Utah advertising photographer Michael Schoenfeld, where he learned much of the stuff “they never tell you in school”. In that same year Walt was Selected to to be among six photographers From West Valley City, Utah to Travel to Nantou, Taiwan as part of a cultural exchange with West Valley's Sister City. Walt was selected among the six photographers to give a lecture on his work and philosophy of photography. Walt Has said that displaying and talking about photography during the 2005 Nantou, Taiwan photographic society's Joint International Show was on of the beginning highlights of his career.
Walt’s photography covers a broad range of subjects and styles; from landscapes and portraiture to product and lifestyle. His photographic skills cover a wide array of equipment from traditional 4x5 view cameras to the latest digital technology.
