Waldemar Christofer Brøgger

Waldemar Christofer Brøgger (b. November 10, 1851, Oslo, Norway, then called Christiania - d. February 17, 1940, Oslo, Norway) was a Norwegian geologist and mineralogist.
His research on Permian igneous rocks (286 to 245 million years ago) of the Oslo district greatly advanced petrologic (rock formation) theory.
