Walchsee is a municipality in Tyrol, Austria, in the Kufstein district. It is located in the lower Innvalley and belongs to the "Kaiserwinkl" and the "Untere Schranne".

Walchsee is located in the northeast of the city Kufstein(18km), between the same name lake and the foot of the majestic Kaiser mountain range. There is north Tyrol's largest preserved highmoor called "Schwemm".

Walchsee does have 5 little districts: Durchholzen, Schwaigs, Oed, Winkl and Walchsee itself. The lake Walchsee does have area of about 2,5 km² and its average temperature is 21°.
