  • I believe that this article is on academics, as Walden West teaches students on outdoor activities. -user:haha169 (im not logged on right now)
  • I also believe so because at Walden West, students learn about nature.

  • I think you've misunderstood the purpose of the tag. It's not there to query the category of the article, but rather to express a concern that the subject matter may not be well enough known (not 'notable' enough) to be included in Wikipedia. I suggest you have a look at what is said in WP:CORP and try to add some text or links that demonstate notability (these must come from independent sources and not from the Company running the Camp itself nor from people connected with it). --MichaelMaggs 06:57, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

This is certainly more notable than most schools. A very large number of the students in fifth and sixth grade in the Silicon Valley (unfortunately I can't say exactly how many) spend a week here, as indicated in the article, and even more come for the summer camp program. A large number of high school age students volunteer every year as well.

Unfortunately, there is nothing in notability that applies to an outdoor school and summer camp, or even to schools in general. I believe that this place deserves a mention in the Wikipedia, it just doesn't fall under any of the notability categories.

On the other hand, much of the information in the article is non-notable and unencyclopedic. Rewrite and keep in my opinion. Atropos 21:36, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Like the opinion above, nearly every sixth and seventh grades go to Walden West in Silicon Valley, even Fifth. Children even attend during the summer.

The rewriting part is gonna be difficult. There is not much to change or edit.
Hows about someone write down the permanent counselor's nature names.
If you must tag this article, then nearly 15% of the articles will have to be tagged. Many, like Walden West have importance, just probably not as much as United States, Birds, or iPods.
The thing of it is that two thirds who grew up in the Silicon Valley in the last 20 years isn't actually an enormous part of the population, and this has not really recieved much attention from even the local media anyway, probably because it's just some place that a lot of people went when they were kids. It should be cut down to a brief description of what it is and where it is, I mean like a short paragraph or two. 66.87.91.36 07:05, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
