Wajah was originally recorded as a theme song for the Reality Program for Charity on Malaysia's TV3. The show is known as BERSAMAMU and it focused on providing assistance for individuals and families in poverty, in need of help and neglected by society.

Subsequently, the song Wajah was released to radio stations and it became one of the most played songs hitting #1 on the local music charts. Due to the popular demand, SonyBMG released a special edition CD of the song with a music video included. All profits from the sale of this single go to the "TV3 BERSAMAMU FUND".
