amputation article guy

nuts to you

Zeph

The modifications I made are no more or less neutral that your right-wing boosterism. Will you at least remove any association of "Right-Wing" with the label "Christian". There is no single view of "Christian" values, and to assert that the right-wing is identified with a non-existant concept is meaningless. Further it is offensive to many Chritians. It is more correct to use the terms "pseudo-Christian" or "Christianist" as I have attempted to do in my edits. If you cannot accept this then please drop the reference altogether.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.177.186.87 (talkcontribs).

The fact of the matter remains that with the right wing, especially in the United States, Canada and some European countries, many of the values held are indeed Christian-based. There's little exaggeration in claiming that Christianity is often associated with stances such as Intelligent Design, pro-life, and traditional marriage. I am a Christian and I realize that these beliefs don't hold true for every one of us, but we're often associated with them. --Wafulz 01:12, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Bennett Madison

Is it okay if I put the expected book back in the Bennett Madison article? He sent me an email saying that it is being written. loulou 14:58, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Okay, thanks. loulou 15:05, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks!

Roger

I received a mesage that you'd changed my 'test' edit to the article on Prof richard Holmes. It wasn't a 'test' - I'm confused as to why you decided it was!

My correction was that Prof Holmes was 'promoted Colonel' not 'promoted to..' as you had written. Army officers are not 'promoted to' - my usage is correct, yours is wrong. When writing about a distinguished officer (my ex-CO) and historian it's important to get it right.

Please reinstate my correction —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.67.126.86 (talkcontribs).

Thanks - 3 pedant points to me :)

I responded on the talk page, because you think I'm vandalizing a page, when I'm really trying to protect it, that's all.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by XxNeXuSxX (talkcontribs).

I don't care

You Wikipedia guys really annoy me. You're horrid snobs. You're threatening me with a block now? Wow aren't you a big man. --Jiei 04:12, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

You specifically called all of us Americans (despite the fact many of us were from Europe, Canada, and the UK, such as yourself) and furthermore saying that all Americans are prejudiced. You were incivil, and I told you to stop- had I made those comments, I would be getting the same treatment. --Wafulz 04:17, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

I'ma editing you because i don't know how to talk to you any other way. And I think you're rather mean. And you're just gonna say I'm vandalising again. And Bleh bleh bleh. Shall I wait 'til you're sleeping? :P —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.13.4.185 (talkcontribs).

Please vote on this discussion

I see you are quite an active editor in the AFD section. I have been discussing with another editor whether or not my company qualifies under WP:CORP We feel that it does under the first point. The other editor keeps bringing up things that are not in the rules outlined under WP:CORP Please comment on this discussion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Enigma_software_group

My recent addition

The recent addition I made to the page about cannabis(drug) concerning the use of shotguns in Vietnam was taken from the movie "Grass." However, I do not know how to cite this information, thus I didn't.

Friday Night Lights

I'm confused, I wasn't going to add the link to the TWoP recaps and forums (which isn't my site) then I saw two links to personal FNL fansites, I'm not sure why my contribution was singled out while the other two were left alone. I hope you correct this and remove all commericial/personal websites. Well they were taken down already but my point still stands. 70.104.245.181 04:23, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

I was getting to the other ones, but started working on something else just after I reverted. By WP:EL the majority of fansites are removed, unless they're particularly major. --Wafulz 04:27, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

That's all I needed to know, thanks for responding. 70.104.245.181 04:28, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Hair colour

I changed the hair color article to say that many hair color differences occur in Caucasian people to get rid of this annyoingly Ethnocentric idea that hair color is so important. Most people have black hair, and hair color really is a non-issue. Except for white people. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.85.15.193 (talkcontribs).

Can you actually prove anything that you've said? You've made a pretty grand claim in saying only white people have varied hair colours, but you haven't provided any sources for it. Also, "by a long shot" isn't very descriptive. Maybe if you had actual statistics or estimates? --Wafulz 01:24, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

u want "reliable resources?" u got 'em!!!

u reverted my edits on november 2, when i added david schwimmer, orlando cabrera, and wilson betemit, because i didnt have the resources well, here are the websites i got them from... Schwimmer- http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001710/ Cabrera, Betemit- http://www.baseball-reference.com/friv/birthdays.cgi?month=11&day=2 now, can i change them back?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.204.15.187 (talkcontribs).

I've responded on your talk page. --Wafulz 18:28, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Request for help with Qanun article

Since you seem to have gotten involved with this to some extent, I wonder if you can help with the current mess associated with this article. Basically, what has happened is that someone with a distinct ethnocentric axe to grind (user Zandweb) has totally re-written the article and thrown out the old content (which now languishes at Kanun (Instrument). I had done some reverting and discussing, but this user never responded once. Their aim seems to be to expunge the article of any content that doesn't fit their ethnocentric (i.e., Iranian/Persian) view of this instrument.

Before continuing further and giving you all the gory details, are you 1) capable of helping (i.e., do you have supervisory powers here?) and 2) are you interested? Thanks. +ILike2BeAnonymous 20:10, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

SNL 70's etc etc

Well I really do not know how to verify what I edited....I know I am right!...but it's really not that important because those were only minor mistakes that were in there before.

Do you have any sources to back up your claims? --Wafulz 02:44, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

GBTW!

I was just trying to add an item, "GBTW" = "Get Back To Work". There is nothing to cite, it's slang. So, I don't think it should be reverted. But that's just me. 69.37.182.102 02:13, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

It says at the top of the article in capital letters to source any claims that you make. You'll see pretty much every other newly added term is sourced too. --Wafulz 02:15, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Your revert edit of 'York'

I felt your revert of the comment on York/New York was a bit hasty.

It woudl have been bettyer to develop it into a discussion of teh links between the two towns. (Citizens of 'Old York' are called 'Yorkies' - NEVER 'Yorkers'! Yorkie is also a chocolate bar.

Plooba

As the animator and storywriter of Mike, I feel I'm the most qualified to describe its nuances. Just because the first article that I created was not immediately relevant to the show does not mean that other articles will not become available shortly thereafter. Your request for the article's speedy deletion in accordance with Wikipedia's patent nonsense policy was, I am afraid, unfounded and unwarranted. Have a nice day.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by EvincarOfAutumn (talk • contribs).

You created an article about a character on a show that doesn't have an article, and when I tried to find any evidence of it existing, I found none and couldn't establish any notability from the article. This, in addition to the description of the character being rather silly (with human penises as horns) led me to believe that this was something very minor or completely made up. --Wafulz 16:23, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
I already stated that the other articles are pending. What am I supposed to do? I propose that I remove this article until the others are up, just to make you stop pestering me about this minor issue. I maintain that I am in the right on this issue. Good day, sir.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by EvincarOfAutumn (talk • contribs).
Are you sure that the cartoon is notable enough for an article? Is it verifiable by reliable sources? Will you be able to maintain a neutral point of view even though you work for the cartoon? These are all important questions you should ask yourself before working on an article. Also, sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~). --Wafulz 16:39, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for explaining it to me that way, now I understand why epinions would not be reliable. The other user was very rude and the way he went about it was not very nice, all he had to say is EXACTLY what you said. And I am sorry that I didn't date it correctly, I thought I did, and if he'd have told me that I'd just change it then. I will look for the source somewhere else. 67.59.10.54 02:24, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism by 24.181.67.89

Hi, Wafulz. I was editing Dom DeLuise at the same time that 24.181.67.89 was vandalizing the page. I immediately checked his contributions and started working from the top of the list backwards until I evidently collided with you working from earlier vandalized articles to the later ones. I hope this hasn't caused any problems. That IP should be blocked. —QuicksilverT @ 05:08, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Mississippi State University

I put something uner the "athletics" portion under mississippi state university. i wrote the following: Croom, along with Larry Templeton (the athletic director), are feeling emense pressure from alumni, students, and fans to win this season due to finishing the last six season with three wins or less. Templeton is also feeling pressure due to his stance against the school's biggest tradition, the cowbell, and what many think, his athletic programs are underperforming compared to every other school in the SEC. It has been getting deleted. I feel this information is just as accurate as anything on that page and is important to the subject matter. please reconsider putting it back up. thank you.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.182.96.250 (talkcontribs).

Hot Karl

Unfortunately, my addition to this page was neither nonsense nor vandalism. Perhaps you could just stand to do a google search for the term. I can't find any verification that the rest of the page has any association with reality. My contribution was, however, more than a little inaccurate. I've taken some steps to rectify that. I'll be the first to admit that it could probably use some work. If you care to clean it up, I'd be happy to have a pointer or two. Outright deleting it, on the other hand, seems contrary to Wikipedia's purpose.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.101.215.230 (talkcontribs).

The Carnival Band

You nominated The Carnival Band to be deleted as "Local marching band that doesn't meet WP:MUSIC". I thought this may be because it should not be in the category "music", and have removed that part (is "live music" an ok alternative?). Still a newbie to wikipedia, I'm figuring things out as I go and trying to blunder as little as possible. :)

I was hoping to put up a basic amount of information about the group, add more as I learn more about this method of coding, and encourage others I know to do the same. Should the entry be more refined before it is put up? Do I need to cite more references?

Yes, I am a part of the band, but that is not why I feel it should be on wikipedia (i.e. "I'm in it, therefore it's great, and you should like it too!") The Carnival Band has been around for almost a decade, played hundreds of shows, toured throughout England, Germany, and the eastern U.S. (we're based in B.C.), and is similar in style, music, and performance to the Hungry March Band and Rude Mechanical Orchestra (both on wikipedia, and two groups we recently played with at Honk! Fest, in Somerville, Massachusetts.) If my entry sounds too self-serving in your view, please let me know so I can try and neutrify it. :)

I'll appreciate any feedback! Thanks for your time.
