Wachovia Championship

Wachovia Championship is a PGA Tour golf tournament. The event is held at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina in early May. It was first played in 2003 and has attracted some of the top players on the tour.

The tournament has a $6,000,000 purse with the champion winning over $1,000,000. The event is sponsored by the Wachovia Corporation. The majority of the proceeds from the tournament benefit Teach for America.
