Wachenheim

Wachenheim is a town and a municipality in the district of Bad Dürkheim, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the eastern edge of the Pfälzer Wald, approx. 3 km south of Bad Dürkheim and 20 km west of Ludwigshafen. It is well known for wine. Its location is 49° 27' N and 8° 11' E. Its elevation is 105 m.

Wachenheim is also the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") Wachenheim, which consists of the following Ortsgemeinden ("local municipalities"):

  • Ellerstadt
  • Friedelsheim
  • Gönnheim
  • Wachenheim an der Weinstraße
