Wa'il ibn Umayya, aka Abu al-As^{[citation needed]}

His father was Umayya ibn Abd Shams^{[citation needed]}

He had three sons:

• A'as ibn Wa'il, father of Amr ibn al-A'as^{[citation needed]}
• Abu al-Hakim ibn Wa'il (Abu Jahl?)^{[citation needed]}
• Affan ibn Wa'il, father of Uthman^{[citation needed]}

And another son: Hakam ibn Wa'il aka "al-Hakam ibn Abi al-`As" [1] aka "Hakam Ibn Abi al-As Ibn Umayya" [2]^{[citation needed]}

Daughter:

• Saffya binte abi al-A'as, Mother in law with Muhammad. ^{[citation needed]}
