W.M. DeJardine is the pseudonym for Miles C. Brokenshire. He chose the name mostly due to the initials: W.M.D (Weapons of Mass Destruction), but based the name from his Grandmother's maiden name as well as his Great Uncle's name.
Facts
- His Great Aunt's mother was an interpreter for a Grand Duke and Duchess- somewhere in Latvia- whom then relocated to one of the royal palaces in St. Petersburg. This of course was before the fall of the tsars and the beginning of the Russian Revolution. And her uncle was also a commisar for agriculture who then- somewhere around the October Revolution, organized a large number of Latvians to be boarded in box cars of a train which headed towards Latvia.
- William is a student located in New Toronto (Mimico) who is an effluent photographer, as well as an eager writer.
- His dream is to become a national and international artist in the field of photography, adding his talent for creative writing.
- William was also a recipient of the Young Artist Showcase at the Gladstone Hotel on Sep. 15th.
- As a photographer, he is also a frequent visitor at Gallery44, an artist-run centre for contemporary photography.
- A lover to philosophy and integrated media.
