W. (also known as W. Channel) is the name of an Australian television channel which broadcasts programs of special interest to women on the cable and satellite Pay-TV networks, Foxtel, Austar and Optus Television. It was originally known as FX. The channel has Australian Pay-TV rights for the MyNetworkTV telenovas, which they air under the branding FOXTELENOVELA. One of the faces of the channel is Antonia Kidman, sister of Nicole Kidman. She has presented multiple programs including parenting shows. She previously hosted various Entertainment programs for W. and other channels.
W2 - the channel two hours later was launched in September 2006, along with other Foxtel channels it is known as a timeshift channel. Also in September 2006 a website for the channel was launched. [2]
