W231

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

W231 is a smokeless powder manufactured by the Olin Corporation and marketed under the Winchester trade name. W231 is commonly used in metallic cartridge reloading and handloading. It is used primarily for pistol cartridges. Because of the spherical shape of the powder grains, W231 is classified a ball powder, as opposed to a stick powder.
