Wálter Herrmann (born June 26, 1979 in Venado Tuerto) is an Argentine professional basketball player. He is of German descent. Marked by tragedy, he lost his mother, sister and girlfriend in a tragic car accident. Exactly one year later, his father died of a heart attack. He is a key reserve on the Argentina national basketball team, and recently signed a one year contract for $2M to play for the Charlotte Bobcats during the 2006-07 NBA season. He is listed at 6' 9", 225 lbs. He has dual citizenship: Argentine and Spanish.
