I'm a 21-year-old new media designer / developer living out of Orlando, Florida.
[edit] History in Web Development
I've been involved with computer graphics and website creation since the time I was first introduced to the Internet. That was 1995. Over the past eleven years I have seen the Internet grow and expand to the wonder that it is today. During my teen years I spearheaded the following campaigns:
Operation Blackout, which was a campaign started in 1999 to stop Fox Broadcasting, among other companies, from threatening lawsuits to non-profiteering fan sites. Since this campaign, the Internet has seen a complete 180 on how fan sites and their owners have been treated by the production studios, one for the better.
Dark Angel Online. Hailed by Fox Broadcasting as one of the Top 3 Dark Angel fansites on the net, Dark Angel Online, or The DAOL as it was called, was updated daily with the newest in Dark Angel news, press, media, and more. It had official contacts with several Dark Angel Staff writers, including Jose Molina and Moira Kirkland-Dekker.

As my Internet nickname hints, I am a huge lover of all things Volkswagen. It is the only car I've ever drove, and the only one I ever plan on driving. Yes, even if I win the lottery.
I also am a huge music fan, and my taste in music ranges greatly. However, some of my favorite bands are The Arcade Fire, The Bravery, HARD-Fi, Broken Social Scene, Angie Aparo, Sia, and more. Way more. One of my favorite things to do is to go to music festivals, and in 2006 I plan on attending Coachella and Bonnaroo.
I have a passion for all forms of new media creation, and I have been involved in many different aspects of it. I have a history in motion graphics editing, 3D modeling, print design, and, of course, web development. I am also a huge follower of the open source movement, and I am currently developing several websites which will play a role in that field.
Association Football, or "soccer" is something else I also follow quite closely, and you will see me cheering on the England football team as they take on the world in the 2006 World Cup. On a club level I support Fulham Football Club in the English Premiership.

I graduated from High School in 2003 from West Ottawa High School in Holland, MI. Since then, I took one year of traditional college before moving to Winter Park, FL to attend Full Sail Real World Education.
Since graduation from Full Sail in October 2005, I have had a number of jobs related to the interactive industry, including a lab specialist position with Full Sail. As of current, I work for interactive agency MindComet, where I am a web developer, specializing in user-generated content, web standards, and rapid development frameworks.
