Vulchitran

Vulchitran is a village in the Pleven region, Bulgaria.It is home of the one of the biggest treasures in Bulgaria - the Trakian Treasure, found while a peasant was working in his garden.

Vulchitran people are proud to have their honorary citizen Josef Stalin, who was on his way to Sofia with a plane,but the plane experienced technical difficulties, and had to land in a little town nearby - Kamenetz, which had a military airfield. Because the only road to Kamenetz was through Vulchitran, Stalin had to pass through in order to get to Sofia.

Today Vulchitran is mainly bird breeding cooperation. It was established 458 by Trakians.
