Vuk Krsto Frankopan

Vuk Krsto Frankopan was a Croatian nobleman and soldier of the Frankopan family, father of noted poet and politician Fran Krsto Frankopan. He was born c.1588.
Vuk is most well-known as head of the Karlovac generalat. During his reign, many forts were constructed or expanded as well as many churches, some of which have survived to this day. He died in 1652. Vuk is bured in the Franciscan church at Trsat.
