Vucub-Caquix

Vucub-Caquix rules the Mayan underworld of Xibalba together with his second-in-command, Hun-Came He is a giant bird-shaped god. According to Mayan myth, he was almost the god of the sun, but he lost in a game of darts against the hero-twins, Xbalanque and Hunahpu. Despite his loss, Vucub-Caquix carried a false sun in his beak until he was shot down in flames at the end of the last creation.
