The VRC Sires Produce Stakes is a Group 2 Australian thoroughbred horse race for 2 year olds run at Set Weights over 1400 metres, at Flemington Racecourse in March each year.

Prior to 2005 this race held Group 1 status.
In 1862/63 this race was run over 1 mile.
From 1864 to 1919 this race was run over six furlongs (approx 1200m).
From 1920 run over 7 furlongs (1400m)
In 1866/67 this race was known as the Flemington Stakes.
In 1868 this race was known as the Sapling Stakes.
In 1873 this race was known as the Ascot Vale Stakes.
