Vrbovec is a town in Croatia in the Zagreb county.
> Location: Vrbovec is north-east from Zagreb, connected by: - highway 32 km - train 40 km
> Population: According to the 2001 census, there are 14,658 inhabitants, in territory of Vrbovec area. In the center of town is around 4500 inhabitants.
> History: Vrbovec was first time mentioned in document from 1244.year.
> Economy: Vrbovec has developed meat industry (PIK Vrbovec), industry of bricks, small family village-farms.
> Sport: 3rd league Soccer Club: PIK VRBOVEC, Basketball club: Petar Zrinski.
