"Voulez-Vous" is one of Swedish group ABBA's disco-oriented hits, and was the second track on their sixth album, Voulez-Vous. "Voulez-Vous" was written by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, with the lyrics sung by both Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. It was released in August 1979 by the group's record label Polar as a double A-side with "Angeleyes" in the United Kingdom. In a number of countries, "Angeleyes" was released as a single on its own. In the USA, an extended version of the song was released. As well as appearing on the studio album of the same name, "Voulez-Vous" also features on the ABBA Gold album. "Angeleyes" appears on the More ABBA Gold album.

[edit] Chart Success

"Voulez-Vous", despite being one of ABBA's best-known hits, was not a worldwide chart-topper. In fact, it only reached number one in Belgium. In the United Kingdom and in the Republic of Ireland, it peaked at number three, and at number four in the Netherlands. It also reached number nine in Spain and South Africa, and failed to make it into the top ten elsewhere.

"Voulez-Vous" did top the British charts later on in 1992, when it was one of four ABBA songs covered on Erasure's Abba-esque EP.
